Wilma Ann Hursman - age 76 of Higginsville, MO passed away at 2:00 AM Wednesday morning, October 4, 2023, at her home in Higginsville, with her daughters by her side. Wilma was born on October 9, 1946, the daughter of Albert Thomas and Leutheads (Ellis) Inlow in New London, MO. She married Basel Udell Hursman on August 21st, 1970, in Sweet Springs, MO. Prior to moving to Higginsville in 1993, Wilma and Basel made their home in several small towns around Lake Pomme De Terre for a dozen years. Wilma was a homemaker in the truest sense of the meaning. She was as a huge Elvis fan. Wilma was a kind, sweet and wonderful woman. She was at her happiest when she was with family and she was extremely proud of her family. Wilma was treasured by her family.
Wilma was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Thomas Willard Inlow, Harold Raymond Inlow, Margaret Sue Burch, and Forrest Wayne Inlow. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Basel of the home; five daughters, Theads Ann Phillips of Morrisville, MO, Ilena Gavin (Jason) of Bentonville, AR, May L. Gilliam (Phillip) of Polo, MO, Wilma Lou Smith of Independence, MO, and Virginia Mae Grossnickle (Chris) of Sedalia, MO; 6 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; siblings, Mary Lou Hursman (Harold) of Higginsville, MO, Russell Ray Inlow (Susan) of Monroe City, MO, and James Edward Inlow (Judy) of Concordia, MO; several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members also survive.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in care of the funeral home. Memorial services will be held at 2 PM Saturday, October 14th, 2023, at Stith Funeral Home in Polo. There is no scheduled visitation.
