William "Bill" E. Pollard - age 95 of Cowgill, MO passed away Sunday morning, July 24, 2022, at Golden Age Nursing Home in Braymer. William was born on August 27, 1926, the son of Raymond Lester and Hattie May (Cook) Pollard in Cowgill, MO. He was a 1945 graduate of Braymer High School. Bill served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He married Billie Louise Pierson on October 15th, 1953, in Burlington, IA. Bill was a lifelong farmer and enjoyed travelling around the United States, particularly out west. Bill had a really good memory and was quite the storyteller. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents; infant brother, Charles D. Pollard; and brothers, Harold Dean Pollard, Donald Pollard and Arthur Paul Pollard. He is survived by his wife, Billie of Cowgill, MO; sons, Eric Pollard (Marge) of Cowgill, MO and Nathan Pollard (Barb) of Braymer, MO; grandchildren, Meagan Murray (Allen Gillispie) of Moberly, MO, Jaymie Rairdan of Chillicothe, MO, Zachary Pollard (Shannon) of Braymer, MO, Raymond Pollard (Susie) of Paola, KS, Issac Pollard of Braymer, MO, and William Scott Pollard of Cowgill, MO; 15 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; brother, Ronnie K. Pollard of Cameron, MO; several nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family members also survive.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the St. John's Lutheran Church in Chillicothe, MO in care of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at Stith Funeral Home in Polo. The family will receive friends one-hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial with full military honors will follow the services at Cowgill Cemetery southeast of Cowgill, MO. Friends may call from 11 AM to 5 PM, Tuesday at the funeral home.
