Wava Jean "Jeannie" Sullivan

Wava Jean "Jeannie" Sullivan, age 79, of Gallatin, Missouri, passed away Wednesday evening, July 1, 2026, at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas.

Jeannie was born on March 5, 1947, in Jameson, Missouri, to Lee Everett and Wava Lorene (O'Hare) Sparks. She grew up in Gallatin and attended Gallatin High School. Jeannie was a Licensed Psychiatric Technician, worked in home health care, and owned her own antique business. She was also a proud member of the NRA.

Jeannie was a true outdoorswoman and devoted animal lover. She enjoyed gardening, camping, fishing, hunting, target shooting, and baking treats for everyone. Above all, she cherished spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she loved to spoil. Her quick wit, generous spirit, and kind heart will be deeply missed by her family and many friends.

Jeannie was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Donald Everett Sparks; her niece, Traci Sparks; and her beloved dog, Ughie.

She is survived by her children: Michael Lee Huffman (wife, Luisa) of Trenton, Missouri; Melissa Dawn "Missy" Colman (husband, Ramon) of Wilmington, North Carolina; Shawna Rochelle Sullivan (fiancé, Ken) of Fayetteville, North Carolina; and Shana Danielle Stewart (husband, Daniel) of Desert Hot Springs, California; her stepdaughter, Christina Means (husband, Don) of Joplin, Missouri; her sister-in-law, Aggie Sparks of Yucca Valley, California; her siblings, Arvest Lee Sparks (wife, Chris) of Eugene, Oregon, and Judy Ann Hodges (husband, Tim) of Brookfield, Missouri; the fathers of her children, Lindsay Mitchell "Kelly" Sullivan of Desert Hot Springs, California, and Robert Max Huffman of Trenton, Missouri; her grandchildren, Christopher, Amanda, Desiree, Elizabeth, James, Landon, Hannah, Angelina, Daniel, Savannah, Kevin, Victoria, Jansen, Jeremiah, Dominick; her great-grandchildren, Izabella, Nim, Zaiden, Ryliea, Hunter, Nala, Rowan, and Sawyer, who is expected soon; several nieces, nephews, and extended family members, including Rachel Sparks of Yucca Valley, California, and Jeremiah Sparks of Ontario, California; as well as many dear friends, including her lifelong best friend, Kris Howard (husband, Russ) of Perris, California.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 5, 2026, at the Seventh-day Adventist Community Center in Gallatin, Missouri.
