Virginia Lee (Mann) Jones Obituary

Virginia Lee (Mann) Jones – age 91, of Lenexa, Kansas, passed away peacefully on Tuesday evening, August 12, 2025, at Silvercrest at College View in Lenexa.

Born on July 1, 1934, in Gallatin, Missouri, to Buel and Carolyn (Lynch) Mann, Virginia grew up in Gallatin and later in Kansas City, Kansas. She graduated from Wyandotte High School in 1952 and soon began building a life rooted in family, faith, and service.

Virginia raised her children in the Mission and Roeland Park communities of Johnson County. She began her career at Halls on the Plaza in the Folklore Department, later serving for many years as an office manager for various physicians. In retirement, she found joy as an assistant Montessori teacher, nurturing young minds with patience and care.

A devoted member of Full Faith Church of Love in Shawnee, Kansas, Virginia lived out her deep Christian faith daily. Known as a steadfast prayer warrior, she offered encouragement, comfort, and intercession to all who needed it. Her beautiful singing voice was a gift she shared generously with both her church and her loved ones.

Above all, Virginia was devoted to her family. She loved deeply, lived faithfully, and leaves behind a legacy of kindness, devotion, and grace. She will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents and her infant great-grandson, William Elliott Chadwick. She is survived by her daughters, Karen Chadwick (Bill) of Overland Park, KS and Linda Hoover; grandchildren, Raeann Chadwick (Vince Rook) of Mission Hills, KS, Rachel Chadwick of Overland Park, KS, Sean Chadwick of Overland Park, KS, Ryan Chadwick of Overland Park, KS, Jenna Reyes (Ryan), Lauren Hoover, and Ethan Johnson (Hoover); great-grandchildren, Averie, Ben, Owen, and Jude; cousins and other extended family members also survive.
