Virginia Ann Cornett Obituary

Virginia Ann Cornett, 70, of Bethany, Missouri, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2026. She was born on September 2, 1955, in Los Angeles, California, and in 1984 she moved into the care of Rolling Hills Creative Living, where she became a beloved member of the community.

Virginia, affectionately known by those who loved her as “Curious George,” had a vibrant personality and a joyful spirit that touched everyone around her. She found happiness in life’s simple pleasures and had a wide range of interests. She especially loved cats—black cats being her favorite—and enjoyed watching her favorite shows, including The Price Is Right, Little House on the Prairie, and The Wizard of Oz.

She took great pride in her appearance and loved having her hair styled, her nails painted, and dressing up in beautiful clothes and jewelry. Those closest to her fondly remember that she had an eye for the finer things in life—especially when it came to handsome men. Virginia was an incredible person with a sweet, fun-loving nature. She loved singing and dancing to music from the 1950s and 1960s, engaging in crafts, and participating in playful moments like water gun fights. Her laughter, warmth, and unique spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Virginia’s life was a reminder to find joy in everyday moments and to embrace life with enthusiasm and heart.

Virginia was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Annabelle Cornett Reynolds and Guy Cornett; maternal grandparents, Kenneth and Virginia Tomlinson; her parents, Colin and Doris (Tomlinson) Cornett; brother, Kenneth Cornett. She is survived by her siblings, Robert "Bobby" Cornett of Kansas City, MO, Tim Cornett of Omaha, NE and Coletta Cornett of Camdenton, MO. Niece, nephews and cousins and other extended family members also survive.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Rolling Hills Creative Living in care of the funeral home. Arrangements entrusted to the care and direction of Stith Funeral Home in Gallatin (660) 663-2117. Online guestbook at www.stithfamilyfunerals.com
