Timothy Joseph Cundiff – age 65 of Holt, MO passed away Friday afternoon, November 1, 2024, at North Kansas City Hospital in North Kansas City, MO surrounded by his wife and children. Tim was born July 3, 1959, in Kansas City, MO to Frank and Ethel (Landis) Cundiff. He spent his early years in Kansas City and the family moved to Lathrop when he was 12. Tim graduated in 1977 from Lathrop High School. He married his wife Vickie Haire on November 21, 1980, at the First Christian church of Lathrop. Together they raised 3 children. Tim was a field engineer for Boeing and Raytheon and travelled all over the United States.
Tim was a man of many trades and hobbies. He was a farmer, painter, welder, fabricator, mechanic, volunteer firefighter, EMT, horseman, boater, motorcyclist, camper, 5-year cancer survivor and most importantly he was a husband, dad, brother, uncle, and friend to many. He was “Papa Tim” and “Pa Tim." Tim was a family man and was willing to help anyone do anything. Friends were important to Tim. He treated everyone the same and because of that he had an eclectic group of friends.
Tim and Vickie retired to Lake Pomme De Terre where he enjoyed his days piddling around the house, taking Moose, his dog for rides on the side by side around the neighborhood and sitting on the deck enjoying the deer and wildlife. Tim loved the Kansas City Chiefs
Tim was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Walter, Bob and Tom, and sisters, Terri, Jolaine and Deloris. He is survived by his wife, Vickie; 3 children, Sandy (Paris) Stout, Diana (Dexter) Smith and Joe (Kassie) Cundiff; grandchildren, Dylan, Katie, Darren (Rachel), Morgan, RaDana, VaNessa, Tré, Ellie and Abrum; great-granddaughter, Charlotte; sister, Rita (Allen)Maag; sister-in-laws, brother-in- laws, nieces, nephews and many friends also survive.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home. A service celebrating Tim’s remarkable life will be held at 11 AM Saturday, November 9th, 2024, at Stith Funeral Home in Lathrop.
