Stephany Kay Carr

Stephany Kay Carr - age 39 of Excelsior Springs, MO passed away Tuesday, December 28th, 2021, at her home in Excelsior Springs, MO. Stephany was born on December 4, 1982, the daughter of Larry and Wendy (Huntsman) Johnson in Smithville, MO. She grew up in Holt until the family moved to Cameron. Stephany was a 2001 graduate of Cameron High School. She was united in marriage to Adam Carr on July 3rd, 2004, in Cameron, MO. Stephany had worked as a bartender at McCorkle's in Cameron and was currently working for Always Good Company Home Care in Liberty as a home health aide. She loved to read, particularly Stephen King novels. She also enjoyed 5D Diamond painting. Stephany had a big heart, was always there for people and took them under her wing. Stephany was a very accepting person. She was very close to her grandma Linda. Stephany will be dearly missed by her family and friends. 

Stephany was preceded in death by her grandma, Linda Johnson; grandparents, David and Donna Huntsman; uncle, Jeff Huntsman; uncle, Davey Huntsman, cousin, Robert Downs, and aunt, Teri Rose. She is survived by her husband of the home; children, Aaron and Aubree of the home; parents, Larry and Wendy Johnson of Excelsior Springs, MO; siblings, James Carr of Winston, MO, Tammy Noel of Weatherby, MO, Brandy Atkins (Logan) of Richmond, MO, Evette Winfrey of Polo, MO, and Ryan Lynch (Andrea) of Lenexa, KS; grandpa, Lyndall Johnson of Cameron, MO; grandma, Carol Huntsman of Kearney and her father-in-law, Jimmy Carr of Cameron, MO; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other extended family members and friends also survive.
 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Stith Funeral Home to help with final expenses in care of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Wednesday, January 5th, 2022, at the Polo United Methodist Church in Polo. The family will receive friends from 6 PM to 8 PM the evening prior (Tuesday, January 4th, 2022) at the church.  Burial will follow the services at Cowgill Cemetery south of Cowgill.
