Sherry F. Huey

Sherry F. Huey - age 63 of Lathrop, MO passed away Monday morning, May 3rd, 2021 at her home in Lathrop, MO.  Sherry was born on December 23rd, 1957 in Harrisburg, AR.  She was the daughter of Reo Frank and Delia Mae (Oldman) Elliott. She grew up in Lathrop and was a 1975 graduate of Lathrop High School. Sherry was baptized at the Lathrop United Methodist Church and was a member there.   In October 1975 she was united in marriage to Tom Huey at the Lathrop United Methodist Church. Over the years Sherry was an administrative assistant at Phoenix Metals in Kansas City, KS, Ferrellgas in Liberty, MO and Wyeth Pharmaceuticals in Kansas City, MO. She enjoyed playing with her grandchildren, crocheting and Skip-Bo. Sherry was feisty, funny, determined, resilient and a fighter.  She will be dearly missed by her family and many friends. 

Sherry was preceded in death by her father, Reo and husband, Tom.  Survivors include mother, Mae of the home; son, Derek (Sara) Huey of Lathrop; daughter, Taylor Huey of Lathrop; sisters, Cynthia Kay Cutler of Athens, Ga and Evelyn Marie Elliott-Brown of Bear, DE; grandchildren: Kasey Erickson, Sofia Huey and River Huey; niece, Jessica Brown; nephews, Justin Willey and Jake Blickenstaff; great-nieces, Hailey Blickenstaff and Madyson Mae Willey.

A visitation will be held from 2 to 4 PM, Saturday May 8th, 2021 at Stith Funeral Home in Lathrop.  A graveside service will follow at Lathrop Cemetery in Lathrop.
