Sharon K. Kamler Obituary

Sharon K. Kamler – age 75 of Lathrop, MO passed away Saturday afternoon, February 17th, 2018 at Hospiten Hospital in Montego Bay, Jamaica. She was born on November 29th, 1942 the daughter of Silva Elton and Anna Myrtle (Gipson) Peterson in Lathrop, MO. Sharon was a 1960 graduate of Lathrop High School. She was a homemaker and also owned Olde Kerns Bar in Riverside, MO. Sharon enjoyed working in the yard, spending time with family, giving gifts, reading and baking. She also loved to feed her family. Sharon’s front door and fridge were always open. She was a member of the Holt United Methodist Church. On July 18th, 1987 Sharon was united in marriage to Frank Kamler at Unity Church in Kansas City, MO. Frank preceded her in death in 2007.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, 4 sisters and 3 brothers. Those left to mourn her passing include: daughter, Kenni (Doug) Hisel of Lawson, MO; son, Kelsey (Heidi) Mick of Liberty, MO; daughter, Krescha (Marty) Hurshman of Liberty, MO; daughter, Baylee Allen of Lathrop, MO; 5 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other extended family members and friends. Sharon will be dearly missed.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Lathrop Cemetery in loving memory of Sharon K. Kamler and may be left at or mailed to Stith Family Funeral Home (408 East St. Lathrop, MO 64465). Visitation: 10:00 AM Saturday, March 3rd, 2018 at the Lathrop United Methodist Church in Lathrop. Funeral services: 11:00 AM Saturday, March 3rd, 2018 at the Lathrop United Methodist Church in Lathrop with Pastor Richard Ogden officiating. Burial to follow at the Lathrop Cemetery.
