Roy James Rosenbaum

Roy James Rosenbaum – age 36 of Hamilton, MO passed away Sunday, August 13, 2023, in Hamilton. Roy was born on November 27, 1986, the son of Robert and Ginger (O’Neal) Rosenbaum in Kansas City, MO. He grew up in Trenton and was a 2005 graduate of Penney High School, where he excelled as an all-state wrestler and all area football player. He went on to wrestle and set program marks at Wentworth Community College before transferring and finishing his career at Missouri Valley College where he earned his bachelor’s degree. Roy was a beloved son, brother, and friend. He loved the outdoors and raising dogs. He spent much of the past 10 years in West Covina, CA with his fiancé and second family (Escujuri’s), where he continued to make a positive impact on so many. Roy will dearly be missed by all who knew him.

Roy was preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Fern Rosenbaum; his uncle, William Scott Anderson and aunt, Jacki Rosenbaum. He is survived by his grandfather, William (Marilyn) O’Neal of Tomball, TX; grandmother, Kitty Lou Hempfling of Independence, MO; parents, Robert (Ginger) Rosenbaum of Hamilton, MO; Butch (Kathleen) Escujuri of San Dimas, CA; Fiance, Kristine Escujuri of Rancho
Cucamonga, CA; brothers, Waldo “Walt” Pyle (Erica) of Lone Jack, MO and Ross (Kayna) Rosenbaum of New Bloomfield, MO; niece, Niley Pyle, niece, Arry Rosenbaum, niece, Emmy Rosenbaum, nephew, Rush Rosenbaum, nephew, Sterling Escujuri; aunt, Becky Ashley of Blue Springs, MO, aunt, Kelly (Brian) Locke of Blue Springs, MO, uncle, Randy (Melanie) Rosenbaum of Marceline, MO, uncle, Ron (Bridgett) Rosenbaum of Savannah, MO, uncle, Jeremiah (Chloe) O’Neal of Tomball, TX, uncle, Danny Anderson of Ft. Worth, TX, aunt, Janet Rosenbaum of Bethalto, IL; several cousins, extended family members and friends also survive.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Special Olympics in care of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, August 19, 2023, at Stith Funeral Home in Gallatin.
