Ronald J. McNeel Obituary

 

Ronald J. McNeel, age 76 of Gallatin, MO passed away Thursday morning, October 1st, 2020 at North Kansas City Hospital in North Kansas City, MO.  Ronald was born on February 16th, 1944 the son of John Thomas and Alta Lee (Hathaway) McNeel in Gallatin, MO.  He was a 1962 graduate of Gallatin High School.  Ron served in the United States Navy during Vietnam and was stationed in California.  He worked as an air traffic controller and later retired from the United States Department of Agriculture in Washington, D.C.  Ronald was a member of the First Christian Church in Gallatin. On October 23rd, 2009 he was united in marriage to Pam Boyer at the Gallatin First Christian Church. Ron loved to shoot trap and skeet.  He also enjoyed fishing and being outdoors.  Ronald will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, John Thomas McNeel and Alta Lee Price.  Survivors: wife, Pam of the home; son, Ryan (Jennifer) McNeel of Midland, TX; sister, Hazel Woody of Gallatin; grandsons, Brock and Hudson; numerous nieces and nephews and other extended family also survive. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to First Christian Church, Gallatin, MO in care of the funeral home. Services will be held at a later date due to COVID-19.
