Rick Eaton - age 66 of Jamesport, MO passed away Tuesday night, May 20, 2025, at The University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, KS. Rick was born on August 4, 1958, the son of Glen and Virginia (Lamar) Eaton in Smithville, MO. He grew up in rural Kidder and was a 1977 graduate of Penney High School in Hamilton, MO. He married Kathy Curtis on June 16th, 1978, in Gallatin, MO. Rick retired from Ford Motor Company after over 30 years of service. He was a member of Lake Viking Church. Rick loved fishing, training and riding horses, hunting deer and restoring old cars and trucks. If you met Rick, he loved to talk for hours about life and the Lord. Rick will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Rick was preceded in death by his father, Glen; son, Josh Eaton and brother, Terry Eaton. He is survived by his mother, Virginia Eaton of Kidder, MO; wife, Kathy Eaton of the home; daughter, Brandi Milbourn (Tim) of Gallatin, MO; grandchildren, Sydney Eddins of Naples, FL, Ty Becker of Cameron, MO, and Josh Milbourn of Gallatin, MO; brother, Scott Eaton (Cindy) of Gallatin, MO; sister-in-law, Berneice Eaton of Gallatin, MO; brother, William Eaton of Kidder, MO; brother, Charlie Eaton (Teresa) of Gallatin, MO and brother, Jessie Eaton (Jenni) of Kidder, MO, several nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family members also survive.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Kathy Eaton in care of the funeral home. A service celebrating Rick's life will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at Stith Funeral Home in Gallatin. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Tuesday, the evening prior also at the funeral home. Friends may call after 11 AM Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery, Hamilton, MO. Arrangements entrusted to the care and direction of Stith Funeral Home in Gallatin (660) 663-2117.
