Richard "Dick" Gail Collins

Richard “Dick” Gail Collins - age 88 of Lathrop, MO passed away Friday, October 22nd, 2021 at his home.  Dick was born on March 9th, 1933, the son of Earl and Veril (Mason) Collins in Weaubleau, MO. He was a 1951 graduate of Wheatland High School.  In 1952, he was united in marriage to Betty Sue Carpenter in Wheatland.  They lived in Independence before making their home on the farm near Lathrop in 1961, where he remained until his passing. Dick worked for Ford Motor Company in Claycomo for 30 years and also raised cattle and row crop.  He was of the Baptist faith and most recently attended the Holt Baptist Church. Dick was also a member of the Independence Masonic Lodge AF & AM #76. He will be dearly missed.

Dick was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Betty Sue; brothers, Keith and Gail. Survivors include: daughter, Connie (Chuck) Collins Clark of Blue Ridge, GA; son, Tony (Joyce) Collins of Lathrop; daughter, Tammy Collins of Bells, TX; grandchildren, Ashley Collins of Kansas City, Jeremy (Emily) Collins of Rockland, CA, Chris (Jennifer) Smith of Mustang, OK and Kellie (Jarod) Halbert of Piedmont, OK; great-grandchildren, Ivory, Leo, Josie and Tucker.
