Ret. Sgt. Bryan Keith "BK" Wilson Obituary

 

Ret. Sgt. Bryan Keith "BK" Wilson -age 63 of Plattsburg, MO passed away Monday afternoon, March 30th, 2020 at his home.  BK was born on February 9th, 1957 the son of Richard and Imogene (Conley) Wilson in Lincoln, Ill.  He grew up in St. Louis and graduated from Hazelwood High School in 1975.  BK was baptized in the Free Methodist Church.  On September 10th, 1995 he was united in marriage to Laura Catherine Fleming in Platte County, Missouri. BK served 27 years with the Missouri State Highway Patrol. Prior to working for the MSHP he was a police officer in Union, MO. He was a family man and enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially with his children.  BK was an excellent cook and cooked for church events.  He loved to sing karaoke and had a beautiful voice.  BK coached youth basketball with his children.  He will be dearly missed.

Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by his father; brother, Scott Wilson; brother, Matt Wilson; Survivors: wife, Kaye of the home; mother, Imogene of Dallas, TX; brother, Rod (Sheri) Wilson of Dallas, TX; brother, Dale Wilson of Idaho; brother, Bob Wilson of Kansas City, MO; children: Melissa Berhorst of Jefferson City; Adam Butler of Springfield; Amanda Wilson of Jefferson City; Bryan (Lindsey) Wilson of Springfield; Emily Wilson of Warrensburg; Tyffany Wilson of Florida; Tailor Wilson of Florida; Andrew and Matthew Wilson of the home; 11 grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family also survives.     

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to any Law Enforcement charity of the donor's choice in care of the funeral home.  Celebration of Life Service: 11 AM, Sunday, July 19th,2020, Sailboat Cove Gazebo (4619 Chapel Rd, Smithville, MO 64089) at Smithville Lake near Paradise, MO. The service will be followed by BBQ, karaoke and visiting ending at 2 PM.   Arrangements are under the care and direction of Stith Family Funeral Home, Lathrop.
