Peggy J. (Rusco) Jincks - age 85 of Gallatin, MO and formerly of Jameson, MO passed away Friday morning, December 22, 2023, at Daviess County Nursing and Rehab in Gallatin, MO. Peggy was born on June 13, 1938, the daughter of Turner Joe and Bessie May (Brown) Rusco in Iowa City, IA. Her father passed away when she was nine. Her mother later remarried Dugan Stitt who was a wonderful stepfather to her. She grew up in Conway, IA and graduated from Conway High School in 1956, where she excelled in basketball and received many state honors. Peggy was raised in the Lutheran faith. Peggy worked for National Bellas Hess for several years while she lived in Kansas City, KS. She later moved to Jameson, MO where she worked for Bethany Express Inc, as a secretary for over 20 years. She married James Jincks, July 26, 1975, in Platte Woods, MO. Peggy loved to play cards and spend time with her family. She loved all sports and knew her stats like no one else. Peggy enjoyed many events like racing, baseball, college basketball and football. Her favorite teams were the KC Chiefs and KU Basketball. She was a season ticket holder for the Chiefs for many years. Peggy will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Dugan Stitt; husband, James Jincks; siblings, Jack Rusco, Beverly Gould and Mildred Norton. She is survived by her daughter, Dena Michele McNeely (Terry) of Jameson, MO; grandchildren, Mark McNeely (Sarah Foran) of Maysville, MO and Marissa McNeely (Allie Somes) of St. Joseph, MO; great-grandchildren, Kasey and Remington; and stepsiblings, Shirley Miller (Jim) of Belton, MO and Larry Stitt of Bethany, MO; several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members also survive.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Dena McNeely for final expenses or Pattonsburg Memorial Gardens in care of the funeral home. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM, Thursday, December 28, 2023, at Stith Funeral Home in Gallatin. The family invites you to wear your favorite sports team (or Peggy’s) attire, Peggy would love it! Burial will be at a later date at Pattonsburg Memorial Gardens.
