Paul Alexander Richardson Obituary

Paul Alexander Richardson - age 80 of the Kansas City Northland, passed away surrounded by family, Wednesday evening, June 12, 2024, at NorthCare Hospice House, in North Kansas City, MO. Paul was born on November 25, 1943, the son of Harrison Alexander and Lillian Marie (Hicks) Richardson in Newport News, VA. He was a 1962 graduate of Northeast High School. Paul married Donna Dianne Pearce on May 10, 1963, at Independence Boulevard Christian Church. He was a 25-year veteran of The Kansas City Police Department Crime Lab. Paul was a devoted member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church and was still witnessing up until the end. He was a member of the Masonic Fraternity since 1975, holding membership in Polo Masonic Lodge #232 and Kansas City Lodge #220. Paul loved helping others, hunting, fishing and living on the farm near Polo. He loved to put in a garden every year. Paul enjoyed playing pitch, and he would participate in pitch tournaments often. He often had an ornery sense of humor that drew everybody to love him. To know Paul was to love Paul. Paul loved his family, friends, and dog, Buddy. He will be dearly missed by all.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Donna Dianne Richardson; and sister, Carole Brucker. He is survived by his daughters, Marsha Thomas (Mike) of Liberty, MO and Peggy Richardson of Kansas City, MO; grandchildren, Mataya Thomas of Kansas City, MO, Austin Thomas of Gladstone, MO, Blake Thomas (Jacquie) of Kansas City, MO, and Donna Nelson of Kansas City, MO; and siblings, Harriett Andersen (Roger) of Gilbert, AZ and Lilliard Richardson (Kathy) of Blue Springs, MO; brother-in-law, Mike Brucker of Belton, MO; and sisters-in-law, Joan Henson (Blue) of Mt Judea, AR, Susie Henson (Lee) of Hutchinson, KS, Phyllis Schlimgen (John) of Lee's Summit, MO, and Nancy Conard (Craig) of Camdenton, MO. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other extended family members, and several friends.
