Mary Magdalena (Mast) Bontrager

Mary Magdalena (Mast) Bontrager was born December 26, 1950, at Elkhart, IN to Henry and Mary (Hochstetler) Mast. She passed away at her home on March 7, 2026, at Jamesport, MO, at the age of 75 years, 2 months, 9 days. She was married to Edward Bontrager on March 26, 1970. They lived in matrimony for 55 years, 11 months, 9 days.

She was a member of the Old Order Amish Church and remained faithful to the end.

She leaves to mourn, her husband, 1 son and 3 daughters – Christina (Simon Jr.) Beachy, Crab Orchard, KY, Sarah (Joseph) Stutzman, Jamesport, MO, David (Kathy) Bontrager, Jamesport, MO and Elizabeth (Lester) Miller of Jamesport, MO; 24 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by 1 son, John; son-in-law, Raymond Schrock, great-granddaughter, Amanda Rose Miller, father, mother, 1 sister, 1 sister-in-law, 2 brother-in-laws.

The family wishes to thank everyone for their prayers, food, and acts of kindness during this time of sorrow.

 Funeral services will be held at 9 AM Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at the Lester Miller Residence (23397 340th Street Jamesport, MO 64648). Visitation will also be at the Lester Miller Residence from 9 AM to 4 PM on Monday.  Burial will follow the services at Meadowview Cemetery, Jamesport, MO.
