Mary Alice "GG" Wardlow

Mary Alice “GG” Wardlow - 81 of Leawood, KS, historically of Grandview and Raytown Missouri and longtime lake resident of Roach, Missouri departed from us Saturday, April 15, 2023, at Belton Regional Medical Center in Belton, Missouri. Alice was delivered to the loving parents Herschel and Eva Mae (Cowan) Rimmer in Carthage, Missouri on October 30, 1941. 1959 was an exciting year for Alice, she accomplished a high school diploma from Lee's Summit High School and wed Arnold Dean Wardlow on October 22nd, 1959. She worked for and became the owner of International Coiffeurs Hair Salon, she later sold and retired. If you knew her, you knew you were in comedy company. She was crafty and loved the chaos of her grandchildren and the calm of the flower garden. Most especially being GG, telling stories and teaching her great grandchildren were treasured moments. She was truly one of a kind, to anyone she met, and you always had a seat at her table. She will forever be missed and her legacy will be a home for memories passed and memories yet to be made.

Alice has rejoined her parents, husband, grandson, Dustin Wardlow; and brother, David Rimmer in the afterlife. She was surrounded by her loved ones as she peacefully took flight with angel wings. She leaves behind sister Linda and brother-in-law Jay Krebs of Raytown, MO, Children, Jan and Richard House of Kansas City, MO, Donald Wardlow of Greenwood, Bruce and Sharri Wardlow of Lee’s Summit, long time son Derk Mosley of Greenwood, three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Parkinson's Foundation in care of the funeral home. No services are scheduled. Inurnment will be at a later date.
