Marvin H. Teel

Marvin H. Teel - age 91 of Gallatin, MO passed away Sunday evening, October 1, 2023, at North Kansas City Hospital in North Kansas City, MO. Marvin was born on September 13, 1932, the son of Herman and Viola (Carey) Teel in Gallatin, MO. He was a 1950 graduate of Gallatin High School. Marvin served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and was stationed in Germany. He was united in marriage to Carol Lockridge at the Gallatin Methodist Church. Marvin was a member of the Lake Viking Church, Gallatin Lions Club, and VFW Post #2172 in Gallatin. In addition to raising livestock and rowcrop he worked for Shock Transfer and Associated Wholesale Grocers. Marvin will be dearly missed by his family and friends. 

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Carol; sisters, Frances King and Doris Sierzchula. He is survived by his daughters, Teresa Ross (Gregg) of Gladstone, MO and Denise Hopkins of Lee's Summit, MO; grandchildren, Jennifer Ross, Stephen Ross, Stephanie Whatley (Aaron), Julie Leseberg (Ryley), and Rachael Hopkins; sisters, Catherine Breeden of IN and Carolyn Dolan of TX; several other extended family members also survive. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Lake Viking Church in care of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Friday, October 6th, 2023, at Lake Viking Church in Gallatin.  The family will receive friends one-hour prior to the service at the church.  Burial with full military honors will follow at Lake Viking Cemetery.
