Marilynn Jones

Marilynn Jones - age 74 of Polo, MO passed away Thursday night, February 19, 2026, at her home, surrounded by family. Marilynn was born on August 4, 1951, the daughter of Clifford  and Doris  (Stinson) Sherrer in Kansas City, KS. She grew up in Merriam, KS and attended Shawnee Mission North High School . She married Charles Thomas Jones on the first day of spring, 1969, in Shawnee, KS. They raised their family in Merriam and retired to Warsaw. Marilynn moved to Polo 5 years ago. She loved the lake and her family- especially her kids and grandkids. . Marilynn's orneriness will be missed.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brother, Bobby Sherrer. She is survived by her daughters, Shelly Rowbotham (Terry) of Polo, MO and Jamie Byrd of Breckenridge, MO;  grandchildren, Jessica Holton (Eddie) of Parkville, MO, Jeremy Arnote of Kansas City, MO, Tina Rowbotham of Sedalia, MO, Destiny Byrd of Bethany, MO, and Alyssa Byrd of Bethany, MO; great-grandchildren, Evelyn, Elijah, Mason, Vincent and one on the way; sister, Donna Springer of Merriam, KS; nieces, nephews and other extended family members also survive.
