Marian I. Thudium

Marian I. Thudium, age 99 of Liberty, MO and formerly of Glendale, CA, Hamilton, MO and Gallatin, MO passed away Monday morning, April 20th, 2020 at her home. Marian was born on November 6th, 1920 the daughter of Wiley and Margaret (Duffey) Burns in rural Gallatin, MO, in the Civil Bend area.  Marian rode a horse to country school at Stoney Point and Civil Bend schools. As a child she attended Crab Orchard Baptist Church. She was united in marriage to Harold C. Thudium on May 7th, 1956 in Glendale, CA.  She worked in a factory during World War II. Marian also worked at See’s Candy. She also worked as a Certified Nurse’s Assistant, waitress and at her daughter’s in-home daycare for over 25 years, where she loved the children. Marian was soft spoken and quiet.  She enjoyed reading and cooking.  Marian will be dearly missed by her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold and her siblings. Survivors: daughter, Patty Thudium of Liberty; daughter, Sharon LaRose of Liberty; grandsons Jason and Brandon; nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Hillcrest Cemetery in care of the funeral home. Private family graveside services at Hillcrest Cemetery, Gallatin, MO.
