Marge Hennen - age 88 of Gallatin, MO passed away Tuesday afternoon, December 23, 2025 in Chillicothe. Marge was born on July 20, 1937, the daughter of Floyd and Pearl (Custer) Billington in Green City, MO. She was a 1956 graduate of Green City High School. Marge married Gary Johnson in December 1961, he preceded her in death on April 20, 1969. She married Harold Loyd Hennen on April 15, 1971, in Miami, Oklahoma, and he preceded her in death on November 25, 2014. Marge worked as a cook at Gallatin schools and also in the kitchen at church. She was a member of the First Christian Church, where she started and served as president of the CWF. Marge was a member of the Gallatin Garden Club, quilting club and a member and president of Muddy Creek Ramblers Club. She was a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary for VFW Post 2172. She loved working in her yard raising flowers. Marge was a wonderful cook and enjoyed canning. She had a deep faith in Jesus Christ and was a strong Christian. Marge was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her two husbands. Marge is survived by her children, Eugene Hennen of Chillicothe, MO, Gordon Hennen (Marcia) of Gallatin, MO, Jack Hennen (Kimberly) of Gallatin, MO, and Sheryl Cox of Ottumwa, IA; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; other extended family members and friends also survive.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Gallatin First Christian Church in care of the funeral home. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, January 2, 2026, at Hillcrest Cemetery in Gallatin.
