Margaret Dube - age 90 of Gallatin, MO, formerly of Coffey and Gilman City, MO passed away Friday November 15, 2024, at her home in Gallatin, surrounded by her family. Margaret was born on August 29, 1934, the daughter of Lewis E. "Jack" and Alberta Marie (Thomas) Dowell in Gilman City, MO. She grew up in Gilman City and attended Land Country School. Margaret married Herman F. Dube on July 9th, 1952, in Gilman City. Before becoming a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Bethany she was active at the United Methodist Church in Coffey. In addition to being a homemaker Margaret did in-home daycare and housekeeping work. She liked to crochet and most of all loved her family, especially her children and grandchildren. Margaret will be dearly missed.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Herman; son-in-laws, Carl Dean Courter and Wayne Taylor Baldwin; and sister, Willa Dean Francis. She is survived by her children, Linda Wilson (Larry) of Winston, MO, Debra Baldwin of Gallatin, MO, Jack Dube (Ronda) of Bethany, MO, David Dube (Carol) of Union Star, MO, and Angie Baker (Chris) of Gallatin, MO; 12 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. Other extended family members also survive.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the American Heart Association in care of the funeral home. A service celebrating Margaret's life will be held at 2:30 PM, Saturday, November 23, 2024, at Stith Funeral Home in Gallatin. The family will receive friends one-hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Coffey Cemetery in Coffey, MO.
