Loretta Jones

Loretta Jones - age 78, formally of Kansas City, MO and a resident of Hillcrest Manor in Hamilton, MO, passed away Wednesday night, April 19, 2023. Loretta was born on July 12, 1944, the daughter of John Floyd and Ella (Basinger) Maxwell in Lawrence, KS. She grew up in St. Joseph's Girls Home in Kansas City where she made a lifelong friend and sister, Mary JoAnn Williams. She was a graduate of Redemptorist High School in Kansas City.  She married Claude Jones and he preceded her in death. She worked as a CNA. Loretta was a fun-loving person that always had a smile. She loved sunflowers. She never knew a stranger. Loretta led a simple life. She is survived by her sister, Mary JoAnn Williams of Cowgill, MO and a number of nieces and nephews. Loretta will be greatly missed.
