 Lee Graber

 1964 ~ 2020

Our husband, father, and papa, Lee Graber, was born March 18th, 1964, to Melvin and Sarah (Shrock) Graber in Hicksville, Ohio. He peacefully left us on October 22, 2020, after responding to us in a special way. He was 56 years old. At the age of 4, his family moved to Jamesport, MO.  Lee has resided on the same farm for the last 52 years.  On September 25th, 1986, he was united in marriage to Sylvia Stutzman in Jamesport. We had 34 wonderful years together with the last few being extra meaningful.

Lee was a farmer growing sweet corn, pumpkins and squash amongst other things. He and Sylvia began Graber’s Greenhouse in the spring of 1999. Lee was the very happiest working on the farm and spending time with his family. He loved to deer hunt. It was his time to think and meditate. He connected with people by spending time in conversation with them. Very much a man of routine, he was our stable rock that we all leaned on. Dad was a hard working man, a very good provider. He felt the call of God at age 22 while in the Amish faith. He was baptized into the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite on Easter Sunday in 2004. His faith was very precious to him.

Lee was preceded in death by his parents; mother-in-law, Ida Stutzman; two brothers-in-law, two nephews and one niece. Those left behind with grieving hearts include: wife, Sylvia of the home; daughter, Regina (Kent) Koehn of Jamesport; son, Nathan (Karianna) Graber of Jamesport ; son, Marcus Graber of Jamesport; grandchildren: Addilyn Grace, Emberlyn, Benson Lee and Layla Grace, a foster grandchild who had a special place in papa’s heart;  three brothers and ten sisters, Emma (Jonas) Yutzy of Jamesport;  Rebecca Kramer of Jamesport; Mose (Ida) Graber of Jamesport; Menno (Verna) Graber of Jamesport; Rachel (Reuben) Gingerich of Wakarusa, IN; Martha (Urial) Miller of Jamesport; Melvin Jr. (Katie) Graber of Hillpoint, WI; Ada Mae (Owen) Gingerich of Gallatin; Anna Mary (David) Kramer of Jamesport;  Leona (Floyd) Hostetler of Jamesport; Marjorie (Andy) Shetler of Mountain Grove, MO; Margaret (Syl) Kauffman of Jamesport; Sara (David) Kauffman of Jamesport; father and mother-in-law, Atlee and Sarah Mae Stutzman of Jamesport; 6 brothers-in-laws and spouses; 3 sisters-in-laws and spouses; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other extended family and many many friends.
