Larraine Carter

Larraine Carter - age 62 of Lathrop, MO passed away Tuesday morning, April 5, 2022, at her home in Lathrop. Larraine was born on December 14, 1959, the daughter of Elbert Paul and Martha (Lee) Ackley in Albany, MO. She grew up in Albany and was a 1978 graduate of Stanberry High School. On December 13th, 2001, she was united in marriage to Jerry Don Carter in Plattsburg.  Larraine enjoyed crocheting, sewing, making quilts, karaoke, and wind chimes. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. 

Larraine was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Irene Kay Culter; nephew, Bruce Petty, great-nephews, Devin Smith and Tristan Ackley and niece Amy Abrams. She is survived by her husband, Jerry Carter of Lathrop, MO;  children, Jennifer Suellentrop (William) of Manhattan, KS, Eathan Franklin (Sam) of Lathrop, MO, Cody Franklin (Amber) of Lathrop, MO, Jeremy DeMint (Tamara) of Plattsburg, MO, and Ryan Carter (Dustine) of Lathrop, MO; 21 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; siblings, Ilene Lager (Tom) of Rayville, MO, Linda Collins (Dennis) of Winston, MO, Dudley Ackley (Cindy) of Gentry, MO, Eddie Ackley (Cindy) of Gentry, MO, and Brian Ackley (Rhodera) of Stanberry, MO; several other extended family members also survive.
 

A Celebration of Life will be held from 2 PM to 5 PM, on Saturday, April 9th, 2022, at the Little White Church on the Antique Fair Grounds in Lathrop, where a meal will be served beginning at 2 PM.
