Justin Maxwell Hicks Obituary

Justin Maxwell Hicks - age 25 of Polo, MO passed away Wednesday morning, January 29th, 2020 due to injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. Justin was born on April 12th, 1994 the son of Max and Paula (Bond) Hicks in Liberty, MO.  He was baptized at the Knoxville Community Church, where he was a member.  Justin was a 2013 graduate of Polo High School where he excelled in athletics and academics.  He was senior class president and student body president.  Justin was the football and wrestling captain, member of National Honor Society and the treasurer of FFA. He was a true leader and athlete.  Justin was an all-state athlete in both football and wrestling. He was the first and only state champion wrestler to-date from Polo High School.  Justin was a four-time state medalist in wrestling.  Currently, he was a chemical operator for Bayer Crop Science.  Justin was also an official for MSHAA wrestling and USA wrestling.  He was funny and a goofball.  Justin could bring a smile to a room full of people.  He loved to eat and was “a heck of a dancer”.  Justin had a big heart and would give the shirt off of his back to anyone who needed it.  He was the best daddy in the world and a good brother.  Jennifer was his sweetheart and he loved her with all his heart.  His two biggest accomplishments were Jennifer and Elayna.  Since Justin was always thinking about others first, his organs were donated to save the life of someone in need.  He will be dearly missed and forever remembered by his family, friends and community.

Justin was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Paul Bond.  Survivors: daughter, Elayna Hicks of the home; best friend and love of his life, Jennifer Porras of the home; father, Max (Nina) Hicks of Polo; mother, Paula (Brian) Dolt of Liberty; brother, Jacob (Emily) Hicks of Sedalia; sister, Joely Hicks (Dakota Peel) of Richmond; brother, Jaeger Hicks; brother, Jaxon Hicks; brother, Jace Hicks; four stepsiblings; aunt, Bonnie Bond of Kansas City; aunt, Loralyn (Steve) Benton of Springfield; uncle, Paul Bond of Kansas City; aunt, Adriana (Bill) Gorham of Polo; uncle, Kenny (Kathy) Hicks of Polo; maternal grandmother, Dwayna Bond of Polo; paternal grandmother, Maxine Hicks of Polo; paternal grandfather, Dean Hicks (Ingrid Shipley) of Polo; nephew, Kycen “Spud” Peel; niece on the way, “Peanut Muffin”; mother-in-law, Martina Gonzalez; brother-in-laws, Adrian, Alvaro and Alexander Porras.
