Judith “Judy” Kay Schweizer

Judith “Judy” Kay Schweizer - age 85 of Trenton, MO passed away Wednesday morning, May 20, 2026 at her home in Trenton. Judy was born on September 21, 1940, the daughter of Justin and Minnie Edrie Doak in St. Joseph, MO. She graduated from Hickman High School in Colombia, MO, in 1958 and went on to earn her associates degree from the University of Missouri, where she attended from 1958-1960. On December 10, 1960, Judy married the love of her life, Richard Schweizer, in Gallatin, Missouri. Together they built a loving family and shared many happy years together. Judy had a kind and caring heart and found joy in the simple things she loved most. She enjoyed cooking for her family, all things Elvis and Chiefs, caring for her beloved dogs and cats, and helping with Cub Scouts when her boys were young. She treasured time spent with her family and was deeply loved by all who knew her. Judy will be dearly missed by her family and friends. 

Judy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard Schweizer; son, Todd Schweizer; and brother, Robert Doak. She is survived by her sons, Richard Schweizer Jr. (Candy) of Trenton, MO and Kurt Schweizer (Liz) of Bowie, MD; grandchildren, Brittany Schweizer of Caledonia, MI, Tiffany Bailey (Brad) of Shawnee, KS, Tyler Schweizer (Faith) of El Dorado Springs, MO, Alyssa Schweizer of Charlotte, NC, Kiersten Schweizer of San Antonio, TX, Mercy Schweizer of Trenton, MO, and Kaidyn Schweizer of Trenton, MO; seven great-grandchildren, Ian Bailey, Emma Bailey, Zoe Schweizer, Jude Schweizer, Tate Schweizer, Ailah Bailey, Zane Schweizer; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Green Hills Animal Shelter in care of the funeral home. No services are planned at this time.
