John "Johnny" Edward Peery - age 51 of Brimson, MO passed away Sunday evening, August 1st, 2021 at his home. Johnny was born on March 3rd, 1970, the son of Richard Ray and Ida Grace (Flowers) Peery in Ulysses, KS. He attended Trenton High School and grew up in Brimson. On June 9th, 1991, he was united in marriage to Tammy Souders at the Jamesport United Methodist Church and they made their home in Jamesport. Johnny was a “jack of all trades”. He was a roofer, plumber, corrections officer and he worked in masonry and waste water management for the city of Jamesport. Johnny was a member of Coon Creek Baptist Church and the Rendezvous Black Powder Organization. He enjoyed hunting for arrowheads and hunting of all kinds. Johnny loved fishing and being outdoors. He enjoyed playing with his grandkids and he loved Tammy, his kids, and grandkids. Johnny was a caring person that always there for his family. He was an outgoing and happy person. Johnny enjoyed giving his sister a hard time. He will be dearly missed.
Johnny was preceded in death by his father, Richard; wife, Tammy and brother, Aaron Peery. Survivors include: mother, Grace (Stanley) Shirley of Brimson; sons, Dakota (Kyle) Peery of Gallatin; Quade (Taya) Peery of Ames, IA; grandchildren, Prezleigh, Easton, Koda, Kaizen, and Maxton; sister, Caroline (Rocky) Peery of Gilman City; brother, Faron (Sarah) Peery of Salisbury; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and other extended family members also survive.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Stith Funeral Home to help with final expenses. Funeral services will be held at noon, Friday, August 6th, 2021 at Coon Creek Baptist Church west of Trenton. The family will receive friends one-hour prior to the service at the church.
