John Benjamin "Curtis" Roberts

John Benjamin "Curtis" Roberts -age 86 of Gallatin, MO passed away Sunday night, December 15th, 2019 at Cameron Regional Medical Center, Cameron, MO. Curtis was born on December 2nd , 1933 the son of Woodard and Pauline (Robertson) Roberts in Denver, MO.  He grew up in the Hatfield and Grant City, MO area.  Curtis attended Grant City High School.  Prior to moving to Gallatin in 1996 he lived in Smithville and St. Joe.  On December 10th, 1996 he was united in marriage to Cynthia Pettit in Gallatin.  Curtis worked as a farmhand.  He was a member of the Gallatin United Methodist Church.  Curtis was friendly and liked to “joke around”.  He enjoyed the outdoors, collecting Native American Figurines and doing word search puzzles. 

Mr. Roberts was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Mary Ann Teeter; son, Robert Roberts; brother, Leroy Roberts; granddaughter, Felicia Roberts, daughter in-law, Pearl Roberts. Survivors include wife, Cynthia of the home; son, Johnnie (Kathy) Roberts of Jonesboro, AR; son, Donald (Tammy) Roberts of St. Joe; son, Paul Roberts of St. Joe; son, Terry Roberts of Savannah; 2 grandchildren; other extended family members also survive.  

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Kickin' Cancer with Kindness in care of the funeral home. Funeral Service: 10 AM, Thursday, December 19th, 2019, Stith Funeral Home, Gallatin.  There is no scheduled visitation. Friends may call after 11 AM, Wednesday at the funeral home.  Private Burial: Hillcrest Cemetery, Gallatin.
