Jeffrey Scott Hunter

Jeffrey Scott Hunter - age 51 of Jamesport, MO passed away Wednesday evening, May 18, 2022 at his home.  Jeffrey was born on September 18, 1970, the son of Ralph  and Janet S. (Sapp) Hunter in Youngstown, OH. He graduated from Murree Christian School in Muree Pakistan and then served 13 years in the United States Marine Corps, obtaining the rank of Staff Sergeant. He earned a nursing degree from Butler County Community College. During his 20 year nursing career he worked at the Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital in El Dorado, KS and the correctional facility there.  He was a member of the Serbian Orthodox Church.  He served his Country, patients and anyone that needed it. Jeffrey touched many people through his years of nursing. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. 

Jeffrey was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Hunter. He is survived by his mother, Janet Hunter of Augusta, KS; sister, Sarah Hunter of Augusta, KS and her children: Rain, Storm, Sky, River and Rowan; brother, David Hunter of Gallatin, MO and his family and aunts, uncles and other extended family.
 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Cameron Veterans Home Assistance League in care of the funeral home. Private funeral services and burial will be held at the Holy Archangel Michael and All Angels Skete, near Weatherby, MO .
