Jean Ann (Welch) Hoppins- age 72 of Lathrop, MO passed away Monday morning, March 9, 2026, at her home in Lathrop. Jean Ann was born on August 6, 1953, the daughter of James and Rose Ann (Frueh) Welch in Maryville, MO. She grew up in the Maryville, Parnell, and Sheridan area, graduating from Sheridan High School in 1971.

She was active in the community as a cheer coach, softball coach, Girl Scout Leader and many other volunteer positions that supported the youth of Lathrop. Jean Ann loved to help her grandchildren grow and learn and volunteered at school after retirement to help them prosper. In her free time, she enjoyed crocheting and sewing, and many of her creations she sold at the local Farmer’s Market. Jean Ann loved spending time with her family.
