Janettie A. Rhoades

Janettie A. Rhoades - age 78 of Winston, Missouri passed away Saturday morning, September 21, 2024, at home in Winston, surrounded by family. She was born on July 27th, 1946, the daughter of the late Dean William and Mildred Maxine (Vanover) Welch in Gallatin. She was a graduate of Gard business school in St. Joseph and a 1964 graduate of Gallatin High School.

Janettie spent most of her career working and taking care of others and making them smile. She worked for Dr. Bailey, and Daviess County Nursing home for 20+ years and the Missouri Veteran's Home in Cameron for 20+ years.

Janettie loved gardening, canning, shopping with her grandchildren, being outdoors, reading, and spending time with her family. Janettie was an excellent cook and she made sure to make one or more special dishes at every holiday meal for every member of her family, and she collected cookbooks.

Janettie was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Mary (Bo) Harris; aunts, uncles and cousins. Survivors include her husband Robert of the home; son, Randy Rhoades; daughter, Brandy O’Dell; son n law Shane O'Dell; grandchildren, Cody Rhoades, Elizabeth Brown, Ashley and Connor Peters, Justin Gadberry, Zachery, Shane Jr., Elizabeth O’Dell; great-grandchildren, Robert, Percy, Niomie, Jackson, Hazleigh, Victoria, Grayson; and her sister Sandy Adams.
