Greg Seynemeier

Greg Seynemeier - age 71, a lifelong resident of Independence, MO passed away Saturday morning February 15, 2025 at North Kansas City Hospital in North Kansas City, Missouri. Greg was born on December 30, 1953, the son of Charles George and Dixie Colleen (Ward) Seynemeier, at Independence Sanitarium and Hospital in Independence, MO. He was a 1971 graduate of Van Horn High School. Greg enjoyed traveling camping, model trains, square dancing and building things, particularly home projects. He retired from Belger Cartage Service as a crane operator. Greg will be missed by his family and friends.

Greg was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his daughters, Vicki (Duane) Schemmer and Carla (Daniel) Vaneck; grandchildren, Zachary (Sierra) Seynemeier, Emily and Ryan Hills, Jacob and Waylon Shellenberger, Kevin Schemmer, Tiffany Halsey, Aaron (Daria) Vaneck; Olivia and Aleya Vaneck; great-grandchildren, Colton and Deacon Seynemeier, Spyder Webb, Braxton Brooks, Keirstynn and Remingtynn Halsey, Klayton Schemmer; Aurora, Lilliana and Georgia Vaneck; siblings, Lynette (Jerry) Payne, Brad (Arlinda) Seynemeier and Scott (Deb) Seynemeier; other extended family members also suvive.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the KU Cancer Center in care of the funeral home.  A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
