Glynis Dawn McCord

Glynis Dawn McCord - age 64, of Lathrop, MO, passed away Friday evening, March 27, 2026, at her home in Lathrop. Glynis was born on March 26, 1962, the daughter of Joe and Carolyn (Christopher) Rea in Lathrop, MO. Glynis lived in Lathrop her whole life, graduating from Lathrop High School in 1980. She married Michael McCord on July 29th, 2000, in Lathrop. Glynis worked as a cook for the Lathrop School District for many years. She ran her own painting business for several years in the Lathrop area. Glynis enjoyed going to garage sales and flea markets. She enjoyed thrifting and redoing old furniture. Glynis loved her family and spoiling her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. 

Glynis was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Gail Bogart. She is survived by her husband, Michael McCord; children, Matthew Hulen (Tesha) of Smithville and Emma Hulen of Lathrop; step-children, Stephanie McCord, Nicholas McCord, and Nathan McCord; grandchildren, Mason Mozingo and Elsie Hulen; and sister, Danita Clayton (Wes) of Phoenix. Several nieces, nephews and other extended family members also survive.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM, Saturday, April 4th, 2026 at  Stith Funeral Home (Lathrop). Graveside services will follow at Lathrop Cemetery.
