Glen Dale "Doc" Eads - age 76 of Jamesport, MO passed away Monday afternoon, May 31st, 2021 at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City, MO. Glen was born on December 6th, 1944 the son of Donald and Beatrice (Pollard) Eads at home in Lock Springs, MO. Doc grew up in Lock Springs and was a 1962 graduate of Jamesport High School. On October 14th, 1967 he was united in marriage to Betty Jo Barlow at First Baptist Church in Trenton, MO. Doc was a deacon at the Jamesport Baptist Church and a 50 plus year member of the Jamesport Masonic Lodge. He retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad after 37 years.
Doc was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Gerald Wayne Eads and brother-in-law, Earl Bolen. Survivors include wife, Betty Jo of the home; daughter, Kelly (Larry) Nickles of Kearney; brother, Jerry Don (Neva) Eads of Carthage, Ill; sister, Sue (Ron) Pressler of Carlisle, OH; grandchildren: Dale (Christine) Nickles of Spring, TX, Samantha (Kallan) Keim of Kearney, MO, Rachel (Ty Frakes) Nickles of Springfield, MO; great-grandchildren, Ashlyn, Elijah, Eloise, and Raylee. Nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family members also survive.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Jamesport Baptist Church or the Jamesport First Responders in care of the funeral home (PO Box 56 Jamesport, MO 64648). Funeral services will be held at 3 PM, Sunday, June 6th, 2021 at the Jamesport Baptist Church. Visitation will be held one-hour prior to the service at the church. Friends may call from 11 AM to 5 PM, Saturday at Stith Funeral Home in Jamesport. Burial to follow the services at Prairie Valley Cemetery near Gallatin, MO.
