Glen Burton - age 79 of Gallatin, MO passed away Sunday morning, June 7, 2026, at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City. Glen was born on May 13, 1947, the son of Harold and Venora (Pittsenbarger) Burton in Gallatin. Glen grew up in Jameson and was a 1965 graduate of Jameson High School. He served in the United States Navy during Vietnam and was stationed in Alaska, where he served as a radioman. He married Trudi Kramer in August of 1991. Glen worked at Longwood Furnace and then owned and operated Glen Burton Plumbing and Heating. He was an excellent hunter and enjoyed both deer and turkey hunting. Glen had been a member of the Gallatin Men's Club. He loved his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends and family very much. He also enjoyed recreational vehicles and his gun. Glen will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Glen was preceded in death by his parents; son, Donald Moore and brother, Arthur Lee Burton. He is survived by his wife Trudi of the home; children, Roger Burton of Malta Bend, MO, Kimberly Cross (Harold) of Des Moines, IA, and Tony Gibson (Kim) of Corydon, IA; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Rex Burton (Cindy) of Gallatin, MO; other extended family members also survive.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Gallatin First Christian Church in care of the funeral home. A service celebrating Glen's life will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, June 15, 2026, at the foot of the crosses on the hill outside at the Gallatin First Christian Church with military honors.
