Gary Hunt Plummer - age 76 of Polo, MO passed away Thursday, February 28th, 2019 at Ray County Memorial Hospital in Richmond. Gary was born on December 23rd, 1942 the son of Curtis and Marie (Hunt) Plummer in Kansas City, MO. He was a 1960 graduate of Excelsior Springs High School. On July 17th, 1965 he was united in marriage to Ann Smoot at the Barbie Memorial Presbyterian Church in Excelsior Springs. Gary was a farmer and a union carpenter for most of his life. He enjoyed fishing and snagging with his friends every spring. Gary liked to do wood working and he could build anything. He enjoyed the simple things in life. Gary will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Mr. Plummer was preceded in death by: his father, Curtis Plummer; mother, Marie and stepfather, Glenn Dunwoodie; sister, Sue Gillahan, brother, Larry Plummer; nephew, Russ Gillahan; stepbrothers, Art and Glenn A. Dunwoodie. Those left to mourn his passing and celebrate his life include: wife Ann of the home; daughter, Beth Larkins of Polo; son, Bruce Plummer of Polo; son Brent (Renee) Plummer of Polo; grandchildren: Kole, Kayla, Karley and Kenzi, Marie and Marcus; three stepbrothers: Paul Dunwoodie, Jim Dunwoodie and Richard Dunwoodie. Cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends also survive.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the donor’s choice in care of the funeral home. Memorial services are scheduled for 11:00 AM Monday, March 4th, 2019 at Knoxville Community Church in Knoxville. There is no scheduled visitation.
