Gary Don Pendleton

Gary Don Pendleton - age 61 of Kansas City, MO passed away Friday morning,  December 13, 2024, in Kansas City. Gary was born on October 14, 1963, the son of Don  and Jewell  (Brown) Pendleton in Altamont, MO. He was a 1982 graduate of Hickman Mills High School. He married Christy Phillips and to this union a daughter, Kelsey was born. They later divorced. He loved dirt track racing  and earned several trophies in his racing career. Gary also liked to hunt. He always had a smile and would give you the shirt off of his back if it was the last one he had. Gary was a farmer and truck driver; jobs he loved. Gary will be dearly missed by his family and friends. 

Gary was preceded in death by his father, Don Pendleton; paternal grandparents, Ben and Edna Pendleton; maternal grandparents; E.R. and Anna May Brown; brother, David Pendleton; and his father-in-law, Darrell Phillips. He is survived by his daughter, Kelsey Roberson (Spencer) of Richmond, MO; grandchildren, Weston, Mallorie, Gracelynn, and Brinley; his mother, Jewell Pendleton of Kansas City, MO; sisters, Theresa Hunter of Pleasant Hill, MO and Melissa Hayes of Harrisonville, MO; nieces, nephews and other extended family members also survive. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the funeral home to help with final expenses. A service celebrating Gary's life will be held at Noon Saturday, December 21, 2024, at Stith Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends one-hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Burial will follow at Mt.
