Fredrick Jones Jr. Obituary

Fredrick Jones Jr. - age 71 of Gallatin, MO passed away Wednesday morning, May 06, 2026 at Cameron Regional Medical Center in Cameron, Missouri. Fredrick was born on August 17, 1954, in Brookfield, the son of Fredrick Sr. and Bonita (Roberts) Jones. He married the love of his life, Karen Wessley, on January 29, 1973, in Poplar Bluff. Together they built a life centered around family, hard work, and love. Fredrick spent many years farming on the family farm and working as a heavy equipment operator. A Christian man of faith, he attended Lake Viking Church. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, gardening, hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors. More than anything, Fredrick cherished time with his children and especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom he loved deeply and was incredibly proud of.

Known for his warm heart, playful charm, and friendly personality, Fredrick never met a stranger. He loved wholeheartedly, enjoyed making people smile, and was always ready with a laugh or a flirtatious joke. His kind spirit and golden heart will be remembered by all who knew him. Fredrick will be dearly missed by his family and many friends.

Fredrick was preceded in death by his son, Fredrick Junior Jones III; his father, Fredrick Junior Jones Sr.; his siblings, Micky Jones and Nila Jones; and his great-nephew, Wyatt Bendur. He is survived by his loving wife, Karen Jones, of the home; daughters, Vicky Kastanek (Jason) of Nebraska and Valarie Jones (Shauna) of St. Joseph; his mother, Bonita Jones; sisters, Sheila Acree (Jim) and Stella Elsea (Keary); several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other extended family members, and friends also survive.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Suicide Prevention to Lake Viking Church in care of the funeral home. A service celebrating Fredrick's life will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at Lake Viking Church in Gallatin, MO.
