Eletha “Fern” Rosenbaum - age 77 of Jamesport, MO passed away Wednesday morning, September 8th, 2021 at Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton, MO. Fern was born on July 6th, 1944 the daughter of Luther and Lucy (Dewalt) Wiseman in Spickard, MO. She grew up in rural Jamesport and attended Gallatin schools. In 1961 she was united in marriage to William Rosenbaum and to this union three sons were born. They later divorced. Fern obtained an accounting degree from State Fair Community College. In addition to being an accountant she owned her own cleaning business, worked for the city of Jamesport and ran a novelty store called “It’s A Hoot” with her brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Jackie Wiseman. Fern attended Jamesport Baptist Church and later, Tenth Street Baptist Church in Trenton. She was a devoted Baptist. Fern was outgoing, loved life and had a lot of friends. She enjoyed quilting, traveling and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Fern will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Fern was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Cecilia Dixon and Ethel Wray; granddaughter Kim Nations and daughter-in-law, Jacki Rosenbaum. Survivors include her sons, Randy Rosenbaum (Melanie Boyd) of Marceline, Robert (Ginger) Rosenbaum of Hamilton and Ron (Bridgett) Rosenbaum of Savannah; brother, Jim (Jackie) Wiseman of Murfreesboro, TN ; grandchildren, Ryan, Robert, Randall, Reed, Haeli, Walt, Roy, Ross, Jennifer, Josh, Kyle, Riley, Cooper and Joe; 16 great-grandchildren; 2 daughters of the heart, Shelley Page and Dana Urton; nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family members also survive.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Kickin' Cancer with Kindness in care of the funeral home. A Celebration of Life service is scheduled for Saturday, September 18th, 2021 at the Jamesport Fire and Rescue Building in Jamesport. A visitation will be at 2:00 followed by a service at 3:00 p.m. Burial at a later date at Wild Chapel Cemetery near Spickard, MO.
