Obituary
Edgar Dean Stevens - age 75 of Polo, Missouri passed away Monday morning, March 6, 2023, at his home. Edgar was born on October 12, 1947, the son of Lee Otis and Vivian (Howard) Stevens in Orrick, MO. He grew up in Orrick and attended high school there. He married Sharon Williams on May 14th, 1976, in Excelsior Springs, MO. Edgar served in the United States Army during Vietnam. He worked as a trucker driver for Waste Management. He was a family man and provided for his family. He loved to fish. Edgar will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Edgar was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Josephine, Fred, Martha, Donald Lee, and sister-in-law, Dottie Stevens. He is survived by his wife, Sharon Stevens of Polo, MO; children, Mike Riley (Peggy) of Excelsior Springs, MO, Jeff Riley (Kim) of Montezuma, KS, Eddie Stevens (Christa) of Charles City, IA, Mary Riley (Jesse) of Stewartsville, MO, Chad Stevens of Charles City, IA, and Angie Woodward (Casey) of Lathrop, MO; brother, Clarence Stevens of Richmond, MO; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren other extended family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Cameron Veterans Home Assistance League in care of the funeral home. A private celebration of life will be held.
