Eddie L. Summers - age 69 of Lathrop, Missouri passed away Wednesday morning, February 23, 2022, at his home in Lathrop. Eddie was born on November 27, 1952, in Thayer, MO. He married Betty Slayton on December 31st, 1974, at the Lathrop Assembly of God Church. Eddie served in the United State Army during Vietnam from October 27th, 1971, until his honorable discharge on October 26th, 1977. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Herbert "Jake" and Edith Summers and 9 siblings. He is survived by his wife, Betty Summers of Lathrop, MO; son, Richard Summers (Rene) of Pasadena, TX; son, Larime Summers of Magnolia, TX; son, Steven Summers of Lathrop, MO; grandchildren: Shyenne, Sydney, Dustyn, Asa "Riley", and Dakota; sister, Sandy Kelsey (Donald) of Hutchinson, KS; brother, Larry Summers (Sue) of Independence, MO, and brother, Mark Summers (Cindy) of Orlando, OK. Several other family members also survive.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Disabled American Veterans in care of the funeral home.
