Dwight Lee Clouse - age 71 of Polo, MO passed away Sunday morning, October 13, 2024, at North Kansas City Hospital in North Kansas City. Dwight was born on June 28, 1953, the son of Nelson Lee and Doris (Ware) Clouse in St. Joseph, MO. He grew up on a farm in the Maysville and Stewartsville area and graduated from Maysville High School in 1971. He married Phyllis Hicks on May 15th, 1982, and they made their home in the Raymore and Grandview area. Phyllis later preceded him in death. Dwight married Tamera Sue Morrison on August 18th, 2012, in Independence, MO. Dwight was a welder for RMF Companies in Grandview, MO. In 2014, Dwight and Tammy moved to Polo to live on an acreage. Dwight loved to operate his tractor using his implements. He loved shooting guns and target practicing. He was mechanically inclined and could build anything. Dwight also enjoyed watching western movies. He was a fan of Fords and Barracudas. He loved his family deeply, especially his grandchildren. Dwight will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Dwight was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Phyllis. He is survived by his wife Tammy Clouse of Polo, MO; children, Phillip Clouse (Piper) of Lee's Summit, MO, Joan Gorman (Mike) of Kansas City, MO, Daniel Clouse (Brooke) of Blue Springs, MO; stepdaughters, Jennifer Rupe of Richmond, MO, and Ashley Harrison of Richmond, MO; grandchildren, Alyssa Gorman of Kansas City, MO, Alex Murphy (Brendan) of St. Charles, MO, Brennan Clouse of Omaha, NE, Molly Clouse of Maryville, MO, Jackson Clouse of Maryville, MO, and Landon Clouse of Maryville, MO; his step-granddaughter, Alexis Rupe of Lee's Summit, MO; other extended family members also survive.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the donor’s choice in care of the funeral home. The family will gather with friends from 2 to 4 PM, Saturday, October 26th, 2024, at Stith Funeral Home in Polo.
