Dorothy Cranford - age 85 of Chillicothe, MO and formerly a longtime resident of Perrin TX, passed away Friday, March 13, 2026 at St. Luke's Hospice House in Kansas City, Missouri. She knew she would awake in the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Dorothy was born on September 14, 1940, the daughter of Frank and Juanita (Dalton) Clark in Mineral Wells, TX. She was a graduate of Mineral Wells High School and Weatherford College of Nursing. She married Weldon Cranford on March 1st, 1958, in Perrin, TX. Dorothy was a longtime devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Perrin. She was a wife, mother, grandmother, and great - grandmother, caring nurse and devoted servant of Jesus Christ. In addition to being a nurse and homemaker she worked side by side with her husband on the farm. Dorothy cherished her family and the wonderful 62 years of marriage to Weldon. Dorothy will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband of 62 years, Weldon and brother, Lon Clark. She is survived by her daughters, Lyndie Stephens (Alan) and Lorraine Seay (Dan); grandchildren, Rance Seay (Ashley), Rachel Hunter (John), Aaron Stephens (Suzan), and Andrew Stephens; great-grandchildren, Shiloh, Ivy, Vera, Harper, Emma, and Nolan; other extended family members and friends also survive.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Perrin Memorial Gardens or the donor's choice. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, March 18th, 2026, at Perrin Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Perrin, TX under the direction of Coker Funeral Home in Jacksboro, TX.
