Donald R. King

Donald R. King - age 50 of Gallatin, MO passed away Thursday, December 28, 2023, at his home in Gallatin. Donald was born on July 25, 1973, the son of Dorland and Mary (Pettit) King in Chillicothe, MO. He grew up in rural Gallatin where he enjoyed hunting, fishing and being outdoors. Donald was a 1991 graduate of Winston High School. After high school he began working for Landmark Manufacturing and worked his way up through the years to a foreman. He raised two sons and loved spending time with them. Donald loved his pets. He was nice to everyone, treating them the same, with a non-judgemental, welcoming spirit. Donald also liked smoking delicious food on his smoker. Donald will be dearly missed by his family and friends. 

Donald was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Ron King. He is survived by his son, Derek King (Alyssa Garcia) and daughter, Reagan of Ault, CO; son, Brendan King (Christy Mobley) of Lexington, KY; brother, Gary King (Shellie) of Gallatin, MO; nephews, cousins and other family members also survive.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 6, 2024, at Stith Funeral Home in Gallatin.  The family will receive friends from 9:30 AM - 11:00 AM, prior to the service at the funeral home. Friends may call from 11 AM to 5 PM, Friday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Lake Viking Cemetery.
