Donald "Don" J. Holman

Donald "Don" J. Holman - age 80 of Richmond, MO passed away Wednesday evening November 20, 2024, at Shirkey Nursing and Rehab in Richmond, Missouri. Don was born on August 25, 1944, the son of Donald Aubrey and Letha Melvine (Green) Holman in Polo, MO. He grew up in Polo, Maysville and Hamilton, and he attended Penney High School. Dom married Cheryl McCloud on November 25th, 1979, in Kansas City, MO. He was an over the road truck driver and it was a career that he enjoyed. Don was a proud member of the Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association. Don will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Don was preceded in death by his parents  He is survived by his wife Cheryl of the home; son, Russell Holman of Lawton, OK and grandson, Sydney Mann of Kansas City, MO.
 
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Christ Cupboard Food Pantry  in care of the funeral home. A service celebrating Don's life will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, November 30, 2024, at the Polo Christian Church.  The family will receive friends one-hour prior to the service at the church.  Burial will follow at Zimmerman Cemetery, south of Polo.
