Dianna Kay Gilliam

Dianna Kay Gilliam - age 69 of Polo, MO passed away Wednesday afternoon, March 22, 2023, at North Kansas City Hospital in North Kansas City, MO. Dianna was born on August 17, 1953, the daughter of Ernest Thurman and Stella (Black) Helderbrand in New Castle, Indiana. New Castle, Indiana served as her base for her formative years, high school career, and 'home' -as it was also where a large amount of her family resided. She married Phillip Arthur Gilliam on March 20th, 1974. The two of them perfected packing techniques and made various moves to different parts of the country approximately 15 times before settling in Missouri in 1992. Dianna was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Dianna was an avid reader, she loved music and genealogy. Her wit, humor, and true interest in another's well-being made her a devoted friend and confidante to many. Dianna will be dearly missed by her family.

Dianna was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Ernest Thurman Helderbrand Jr. and Paul Edward Helderbrand. She is survived by her husband Phillip Arthur Gilliam of the home; two children, Phillip N. Gilliam (May) of Polo, MO and Suzanne Greer (Aaron) of Lathrop, MO; and four grandchildren.
