Delmond Lowe, Sr.

Delmond Lowe, Sr. - age 81 of Gallatin, MO passed away Saturday, December 12th, 2020 at North Kansas City Hospital in North Kansas City, MO. Delmond was born on October 26th, 1939 the son of Victor Sr. and LaFern (Annis) Lowe in Kansas City, MO. He was a 1956 graduate of North Kansas City High School and a 1961 of Moler Barber College. He served in the United States Navy from 1956 until his honorable discharge in 1958.  While serving in the Navy he was stationed in San Diego, CA and Corpus Christi, TX.  Delmond was a barber for Fox Woods Barber Shop from 1961 until 1977.  He then was a self-employed floor covering installer.  Delmond also had several side jobs over the years.  He moved to Gallatin in 1974. Delmond enjoyed spending time with his family and playing with great grandkids, he also enjoyed hunting, fishing, skeet shooting, spending time on his farm and going to the dirt track races.  He was a simple man and will be dearly missed.

Delmond was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include: daughter, Teresa (David) Walker of Excelsior Springs, MO; son, Delmond (Bonnye) Lowe, Jr. of Gallatin; grandchildren, Pamela (Frank) Arban of Cerritos, CA, Kathy (Justin) Kerns of Kearney, Molly (Eddie) Kurtz of Gallatin, Trevor (Brittany) Lowe of Winston, 9 great-grandchildren; siblings, Victor Jr. (Marilyn) Lowe of Kansas City, Keith Lowe of Liberty, Dena (Al) Fry of Plattsburg; nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family also survive.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Hillcrest Cemetery in care of the funeral home. Graveside service: 2 PM, Friday, December 18th, 2020, Hillcrest Cemetery, Gallatin, MO. There is no scheduled family visitation. Friends may call 9 AM to noon, Friday at Stith Funeral Home, Gallatin.
