Deanna J. Potts

 Deanna J. Potts - age 87 of Independence, MO and formerly a longtime resident of Lathrop passed away Tuesday morning, May 27, 2025, in Independence. Deanna was born on April 12, 1938, the daughter of Gladen O. and Trilla H. (Anglen) Mynatt in Lebanon, MO. She grew up in Lebanon and North Kansas City. She married Cecil Clinton Potts on September 5th, 1964, in Kansas City, MO. They eventually made their home in Lathrop and raised their family. Deanna enjoyed word search books and her flowers. She also liked to make homemade desserts. Deanna was a loving and giving person and a little bit feisty. Deanna will be missed.

Deanna was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Cecil Clinton Potts and siblings: William Mynatt, Edgar Mynatt, and Mary Roush. She is survived by her daughter, Judy Rippy (Sam) of Independence, MO; two sisters, Georgie Frye of Plattsburg, MO and Marjorie Schriever of Lathrop, MO; nieces, nephews and other extended family members also survive.
 
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.
